Some of my favourite things about patisserie are the endless possibilities there are to create a delicious flavour experience. Designed with intention and presented with elegance, they can inspire conversation amongst your guests, evoke nostalgic memories and create special new memories. Particularly for a multi-day wedding, they can form a focal part of your guest experience.

Below are 3 ways you can use patisserie at your wedding

1. The patisserie table:

These have been increasingly popular in the last few years, and are often displayed as part of your wedding cake table. For a truly special and separate experience, consider having a patisserie table as part of a welcome dinner or a farewell brunch. Imagine a table dressed with soft flowing linen, flowers, elegant candles in keeping with you wedding colours and story. With an elegant display of carefully chosen seasonal or meaningful flavours of patisserie all beautifully finished and presented on trays and stands with an old world charm.

2. The foodie welcome basket:

Welcome baskets are such a beautiful way to set the scene for your event. Imagine a petit French market basket, filled with delicious delights that your guests can enjoy in their own time. From fruity to decadent, take them on a flavour journey as they explore its contents. Add personalised touches, like handmade paper with a heartfelt welcome note or embroidered napkins.

3. Meaningful wedding favours:

Traditions aside, wedding favours are meant to be a way of saying “thank you” to your guests. If not carefully considered, they can end up forgotten and left behind. In many respects they can be an unnecessary cost. Edible wedding favours can tell a story or share a beautiful memory with your guests- creating something perhaps inspired by the dessert on your first date, the music playing at your proposal, your favourite place to visit, or something that celebrates the beauty of your wedding destination
